How one leader transformed Ghana Publishing Company’s financial crisis into record growth
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has recognised the remarkable turnaround in the financial performance of the Ghana Publishing Company during the tenure of former Managing Director, David Asante. The committee commended Asante's leadership and encouraged the current management to build upon the solid foundation he laid.
Asante's leadership saw a significant improvement in various aspects of the company's operations. Gazetting rose by 44 per cent, while publications and forms increased by 34 per cent. Notably, net assets surged by an astonishing 3,000 per cent during his time at the helm. The company's printing operations also saw a substantial increase of almost 50 per cent.
The PAC acknowledged these achievements and urged the current management to maintain fiscal discipline, strengthen operational efficiency, and continue embracing innovation to sustain growth and public confidence in the company's operations.
