Kazakhstan, Georgia Sign Cooperation Deal to Boost Trade and Tech Ties
A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Parliament of Georgia. This agreement, signed during an official visit by Mazhilis Chairman Erlan Koshanov, aims to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
During his visit, Erlan Koshanov met with Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili. He conveyed greetings from Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and congratulated the Georgian people on their successful elections. Koshanov also briefed Papuashvili on Kazakhstan's political and economic transformations, including plans to transition to a unicameral parliament.
Both sides expressed readiness to provide legislative support for expanding cooperation in various sectors such as investment, tourism, manufacturing, agribusiness, and innovation. Koshanov and Kobakhidze explored opportunities to improve business conditions, expand transit potential, and deepen cooperation in numerous industries. Koshanov also outlined Kazakhstan's initiatives to integrate artificial intelligence during his meeting with Kavelashvili.
The Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Kazakhstan and Georgia signals a commitment to strengthening ties and expanding collaboration in multiple sectors. Both nations are eager to support and facilitate these initiatives, with the potential to boost economic growth and cultural exchange.
