Knife-Wielding Son Threatens Paramedics in Wiesbaden Family Brawl
A family dispute in Wiesbaden escalated into a violent confrontation on Friday evening. Emergency responders and police were called to Bleichstraße after a 56-year-old man and his 31-year-old son damaged a storefront window. The situation turned dangerous when the younger man pulled out a knife and threatened paramedics during treatment. The incident began as a disagreement between the father and son, which led to the window being smashed. When emergency services arrived, the 31-year-old became aggressive and brandished a fixed-blade knife. A bystander stepped in, using pepper spray to defend themselves against the two men.
Police and paramedics quickly overpowered the son, disarming him without any reported injuries. Both men were taken to a police station for questioning. Prosecutors later ordered blood samples from the pair as part of the investigation. The 31-year-old was then transferred to a correctional facility due to an outstanding arrest warrant. Authorities have confirmed no prior convictions or violent history for him before this incident. Witnesses are now being urged to contact Wiesbaden Criminal Police with any relevant information.
The confrontation ended without physical harm, but the son remains in custody. Investigations are ongoing, with police seeking further details from the public. The case will now proceed under legal review, including the attempted manslaughter charge from the March 2026 stabbing incident.
