Komi's State Council Opens Eighth Session With 15 New Bills

The eighth convocation of the State Council of the Republic of Komi opened its session in Syktyvkar on April 23.

Lawmakers will hear a government report delivered by Prime Minister Dmitry Bratynenko.

The agenda includes 15 legislative initiatives, among them bills on animal welfare, restrictions on alcohol sales, and support for combat veterans of the special military operation.

The session will conclude with a government hour, during which the republic's Interior Ministry will report on its activities.
