Local Elections Today: 37 Races, Manchester in Spotlight
Local voters are heading to the polls today to cast their ballots in city and school board races. The turnout is expected to vary, with previous elections seeing participation rates between 5 to 25 percent. In the KMCH coverage area, a total of 37 contested races are taking place, with 29 for city councils and 8 for school boards.
Today's polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm, providing a full 13 hours for residents to exercise their democratic right. Delaware County residents will vote at the same locations they used during last November's presidential election. KMCH will be on hand to bring you the latest results as they come in, starting at 8 pm tonight.
Manchester is particularly in the spotlight with three of its city races up for grabs. However, information about the candidates challenging incumbent Linda Schmitt for the City Council At-Large election in Manchester is currently unavailable.
With 37 races across the KMCH coverage area, today's elections offer plenty of opportunities for local engagement. Make sure to cast your vote if you haven't already, and stay tuned to KMCH for election results later this evening.
