Ludwigshafen Unites Regions to Expand Children’s Service Center for 630,000
On September 3rd, a significant agreement was reached when the heads of participating districts and independent cities signed a deal to establish a joint children's service center in Ludwigshafen. This move aims to enhance services for children and families across the region.
The joint children's service center was launched in 2003, initially involving Frankenthal, Speyer, and our organization. Ludwigshafen and Neustadt joined later, expanding the reach of the service. Bianca Staßen, deputy in charge of youth affairs, praised this intermunicipal cooperation, highlighting its benefits for supporting children and families.
In 2005, the district of Bad Dürkheim joined the cooperation, further strengthening the service center's network. Now, the joint children's service center will serve administrative bodies with a total of over 630,000 inhabitants. Timo Jordan, deputy in charge of youth affairs for Bad Dürkheim district, expressed satisfaction in joining the service center, underscoring the strengthened cooperation in the Vorderpfalz region.
