Nizhny Novgorod Governor Celebrates May Day with a Focus on Industrial Growth

Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, has congratulated residents on May Day. He highlighted the deep ties between the holiday and the traditions of creation and collective labour. The region continues to build on its strong industrial heritage while investing in future talent. Speaking on May 1, Nikitin praised the skilled workforce as the foundation of any successful company. He also recognised the contributions of long-standing labour dynasties and their professional traditions. The region remains a hub for advanced industries, featuring top enterprises, modern technologies, and automated production.

Under the federal *Professionalitet* initiative, 16 industry-focused clusters have already been set up in local colleges and technical schools. These clusters help students connect with potential employers before they finish their training. Three more clusters are planned to open in the coming months. The governor expressed his hopes for the region’s continued growth. He wished residents further professional success and the achievement of their ambitions.

Nizhny Novgorod Region maintains its reputation as a centre of industrial excellence. The expansion of training clusters strengthens links between education and employment. With new facilities on the way, the region is preparing the next generation of skilled workers.
