Novokubansk District: Entrepreneurial Success Drives Growth Across Key Sectors—From Tourism to Industry

A Leading Approach

For any municipality's economy, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) have long ceased to be a secondary sector. They form the bedrock of stability, serve as a flexible engine for growth, and act as a vital social elevator for thousands of residents. It is entrepreneurs who foster competition, fill the market with quality goods and services, and create new jobs.

The more actively SMBs develop in a region, the stronger the tax base—and the more resources can be allocated to urban improvement, education, healthcare, and a comfortable living environment. Recognizing this, the most forward-thinking municipalities in Krasnodar Territory are prioritizing systematic business support. And Novokubansk District stands out as an undisputed leader in this effort.

According to the annual regional ranking of municipalities based on conditions for SMB development, Novokubansk District ranks among the best. The ranking evaluates 22 indicators, including public engagement in entrepreneurship, the effectiveness of regional support measures, and the performance of municipal teams.

For 2025, the district remains a top performer.

Novokubansk's economy demonstrates impressive resilience and positive momentum. The results for 2025 speak for themselves: the district is in a phase of confident, dynamic growth. Over the past decade, industrial output has more than doubled—rising from 6.7 billion to 14 billion rubles. Key sectors are also thriving: construction grew by 109.7%, retail trade by 114.9%, and agriculture by 101.2%.

As of early 2026, Novokubansk District is home to 2,800 SMBs, with their numbers steadily increasing. In 2025 alone, the number of newly established small and medium-sized enterprises surged by 46.5%—the best performance in years.
