Pechoraneftegaz finally pays workers after 147.5M ruble wage scandal
The Prosecutor's Office of Ukhta has inspected compliance with labor laws at Pechoraneftegaz JSC, which had outstanding wage arrears to its employees, the republic's supervisory authority reported.
The prosecutor's office issued an official warning to the management company 1Oil Management LLC and, at its initiative, held the company administratively liable under Part 7, Article 5.27 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of wage payment deadlines), imposing a fine of 50,000 rubles.
The Prosecutor of the Republic of Komi conducted a personal meeting with the workforce of Pechoraneftegaz JSC and held a working discussion with the head of the management company.
Due to the measures taken by the supervisory authority, the company has cleared its wage debt to employees, totaling 147.5 million rubles.
The issue of upholding labor rights at the enterprise remains under the prosecutor's oversight.
