Russian cashier admits stealing 23,000 rubles in just four shifts
A 23-year-old cashier in Syktyvkar faces fraud charges after allegedly stealing from her employer. The woman, who worked at a chain store, is accused of pocketing over 23,000 rubles during just four shifts. Authorities have now sent the case to court for trial.
The cashier reportedly manipulated transactions to hide the theft. She avoided giving receipts for cash payments and voided sales to take the money for herself. Investigators claim she acted to relieve personal financial difficulties.
She has since admitted her guilt in full. The accused has also reimbursed the store for the entire amount stolen. Prosecutors charged her under Part 1 of Article 159 of Russia's Criminal Code.
The trial will determine the final outcome of the case. The woman's admission and full repayment may influence the court's decision. The store has recovered the lost funds in full.
