Russian shipping firm repays $25K in unpaid wages after legal crackdown
A shipping company in Russia's Primorsky region has repaid over 2.2 million rubles in unpaid wages after an official investigation. The case involved ten employees who were owed salaries for December 2025 and January 2026. Authorities have now taken legal action against the firm responsible.
The Primorsky Transport Prosecutor's Office began looking into OOO «Asian-Pacific Tanker Company» after reports of wage payment violations. The investigation confirmed that ten workers had not received their salaries for two months. The total debt amounted to more than 2.2 million rubles.
Following the findings, the prosecutor's office issued an official warning to the company. The wages were then fully repaid to all affected employees. Additionally, administrative proceedings were launched against a company official under Part 7, Article 5.27 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses. In a separate case, the same prosecutor's office also started an investigation into **SK Transstroy LLC** over unpaid wages to its crew members. No other firms in the region were reported for similar violations during this period.
The company has settled its wage debt in full, and legal measures have been taken against the responsible official. The prosecutor's office continues to monitor compliance with labour laws in the region's transport sector.
