From April 25 to 27, Sochi's Winter Theater will host the Days of the Republic of Ingushetia, a major cultural event held as part of Russia's Year of National Unity. The festival offers a deep dive into the ethnic heritage, traditions, art, and daily life of one of the North Caucasus republics, the event's organizers at Sochi's city administration report.
"As part of the Year of National Unity, residents and visitors of Sochi continue to explore the cultures and traditions of the peoples of our country. The Days of Ingush Culture provide another opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship between our nations," said Tatiana Katanidi, head of Sochi's Department for Public and Community Relations.
The exhibition in the Winter Theater's foyer showcases decorative and applied arts from the collections of Ingushetia's State Museum of Fine Arts and State Exhibition Gallery, along with traditional costumes, architectural models, and paintings by Ingush artists. The festival will culminate on April 27 with a joint concert featuring performers from the Ingush State Philharmonic and Sochi's creative ensembles.
The event is organized by Ingushetia's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, with support from the Vainakh National Cultural Center.
