Solingen’s BCS remains neutral as future council members back Flemm

The Citizens' Community for Solingen (BCS) has gathered to discuss internal affairs and the upcoming mayoral runoff election. While the faction has not officially endorsed a candidate, several future BCS council members have expressed their personal views on the two contenders.

Daniel Flemm (CDU) has gained support from some BCS members. Martin Bender, a future council member, has publicly backed Flemm's candidacy. Bender believes Flemm's stance on transport policy and security aligns better with the BCS's positions. Patrick Hinck, another future council member, shares this sentiment. However, the BCS as a faction has not officially expressed a preference for either candidate.

Daniela Winter, also a future BCS council member, has criticized the previous SPD mayor for reducing citizen participation and transparency. She, along with Jan Michael Lange, believes a change from the SPD is needed. Despite these personal views, the BCS maintains neutrality in the runoff election.

The BCS has not endorsed a candidate for the mayoral runoff, despite some future council members expressing personal support for Daniel Flemm (CDU). The faction continues to prioritize its organizational matters while allowing individual members to voice their preferences.
