St. Ingbert Seeks Volunteer Lay Judge for Rentrisch District by 2026

The city of St. Ingbert is seeking a lay judge (Schiedsfrau or Schiedsmann) for the district of St. Ingbert-Rentrisch after the previous officeholder stepped down.

Eligible candidates must be at least 25 years old, qualified to hold public office, and reside in Rentrisch. The lay judge will be elected by the Rentrisch local council for a five-year honorary term.

The role involves mediating minor civil or criminal disputes to help parties resolve conflicts without court proceedings. Ideal candidates should have strong written communication skills, active listening abilities, and negotiation expertise.
