Stolen inflatable boat recovered as suspect faces theft charges in Magadan

An inflatable boat stolen from a garage in Magadan Oblast has been recovered by authorities. A young man now faces criminal charges after investigators linked him to the theft on Kooperativnaya Street in Olsky District.

The incident took place when the suspect broke into a garage and took the boat without permission. Police later identified and arrested him in Magadan Oblast. The stolen property, valued at 18,000 rubles, was found and returned to its owner.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Russian Criminal Code. This charge covers theft and carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Since the arrest, no further updates on the investigation have been reported in available sources.

The recovered boat has been returned, and the suspect remains under investigation. If convicted, he could receive a prison term of up to five years. The case highlights the consequences of theft under Russian law.
