Police Operation in Stuttgart: Arrest Warrant Executed
Stuttgart police arrest armed theft suspect after tense standoff
Stuttgart-Nord (ots) — The execution of an arrest warrant on Friday (March 27, 2026) triggered a large-scale police operation on Türlenstraße. When officers attempted to enforce the warrant—issued in connection with a theft offense—against a 59-year-old man in a building on Türlenstraße at around 10:45 a.m., the man failed to open his apartment door.
After repeated attempts to communicate with him proved unsuccessful and further intelligence suggested the suspect might have access to a firearm, additional units were deployed to secure the building. Officers from a specialized tactical unit eventually entered the man's apartment at approximately 1:30 p.m. and took him into custody unharmed. Following police procedures, he was transferred to a correctional facility.
