Thief steals thousands in power tools from Bielefeld trades worker
A trades worker in Bielefeld fell victim to theft while carrying out repairs at a home on Astastraße. Between 7:15 AM and 12:15 PM, a thief made off with a collection of high-value power tools from the site. The stolen items included multiple DeWalt cordless devices and a Stihl chainsaw.
The incident took place on a residential street between the intersections of Kehre and Kalkbergweg. An employee of a local trades business had left the equipment unattended while working at the property. The thief seized the opportunity to take the tools during that five-hour window.
Among the stolen items were a DeWalt cordless hammer drill, a cordless circular saw, and a cordless reciprocating saw. The haul also included a DeWalt cordless multi-tool, an impact wrench, and a cordless chainsaw. Additionally, a Stihl MS 194 T petrol-powered chainsaw was taken. Police have not yet identified any suspects or recovered the missing tools.
The theft has left the trades business without essential equipment, disrupting scheduled work. Authorities are investigating the incident and have urged anyone with information to come forward. The total value of the stolen tools has not been disclosed.
