Tina Antonius Takes Helm as Austria's Coffee and Tea Association CEO

Tina Antonius has taken over as the new CEO of the Coffee and Tea Association in Austria. The organisation represents businesses across the sector, from roasters and traders to cafés and catering firms. She replaces Johann Brunner, who is retiring after leading the group for twelve years. Antonius brings a strong legal and industry background to the role. She studied law in Vienna and Paris before working for the Austrian Permanent Representation to the EU and the Federal Chancellery. Since 2013, she has specialised in food industry regulations as part of the Austrian Economic Chamber.

Her previous experience includes directing the Forum for Natural Mineral Water. This role gave her insight into sustainability, quality standards, and trade policies—key areas she will now focus on in her new position. The Coffee and Tea Association supports companies involved in every stage of the industry. Its members range from large-scale importers to small coffee shops and tea suppliers. Antonius will lead efforts to shape policies affecting trade, sustainability, and product standards in the sector.

With her legal expertise and years in food industry advocacy, Antonius steps into the role at a time of evolving trade and environmental regulations. The association’s members will rely on her to represent their interests in discussions on sustainability, international trade, and quality control. Her appointment follows Brunner’s long tenure, marking a new chapter for the organisation.
