Two teens arrested after violent attack on woman near Berlin nature reserve
Two 15-year-olds have been arrested after allegedly attacking a 49-year-old woman near the Sechs-Seen-Platte nature reserve. The incident took place on Thursday, February 12, shortly after 2 p.m. Police later apprehended the suspects in the area after they initially fled the scene. The attack happened on Strohweg, close to the Schmetterling picnic area. The suspects approached the woman from behind, placing her in a chokehold. They then pulled at her backpack, causing her to fall and sustain injuries.
The victim provided a description that matched the two minors. Officers located and detained them a short time later. Both now face charges of attempted robbery and assault. The case has since been handed over to Criminal Investigation Division 13 for further examination.
The two suspects remain in custody while investigations continue. The victim’s injuries were reported, but no further details on her condition have been released. Authorities are handling the case as part of ongoing criminal proceedings.
