Ukraine and Georgia Strengthen Ties at European Political Summit
Ukraine and Georgia held high-level talks during the 8th Summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan. Foreign ministers from both countries met to discuss trade, economic ties, and European integration. Separately, Georgia’s prime minister and Ukraine’s president also reviewed bilateral relations at the event. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili met on the sidelines of the summit. Their discussions centred on boosting trade and economic cooperation. The two officials also examined the EU’s influence in global politics and the path toward European integration.
Meanwhile, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze held a separate meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The talks, requested by the Ukrainian side, focused on the current state of relations between the two nations. After the meetings, Sybiha highlighted the need to deepen economic connections with Georgia. The diplomatic exchanges formed part of broader engagements between the countries during the summit.
The discussions in Yerevan covered trade, economic partnerships, and regional cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties. The meetings took place as part of the wider European Political Community summit.
