Violent Vladivostok brawl erupts after road rage escalates into armed assault
A violent brawl broke out near the 3rd Rabochaya bus stop in Vladivostok on March 26. The clash began after a Toyota Prius driver cut off another vehicle The incident started when the Toyota Prius driver aggressively forced another car to the side of the road. Three men, armed with a baseball bat, a knife, and brass knuckles, got out and attacked the occupants of the other vehicle. The victims suffered several injuries during the assault.
The attackers later returned with reinforcements and vandalised the victims' car in a nearby residential area. Authorities have since launched criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Russian Criminal Code, classifying the crime as hooliganism committed by a group using weapons. The Primorsky Territory Prosecutor's Office is overseeing the investigation to identify all involved and establish the full circumstances of the attack. This case follows a series of recent arrests across Germany, including two individuals detained for a car dealership break-in in Muolen on March 28, 2026, and over 130 arrests linked to the international 'Operation Ancora' smuggling network on March 10, 2026. Meanwhile, one person was arrested in a Würzburg call centre fraud case on March 24, 2026, while two suspects remain at large after a bank robbery attempt in Bad Griesbach on the same day.
The investigation into the Vladivostok brawl continues under the supervision of the Primorsky Territory Prosecutor's Office. Criminal charges have been filed, and authorities are working to ensure all participants are held accountable.
