Wartburgkreis Hosts Landmark Democracy Conference to Empower Rural Voices
The Wartburgkreis region is set to host a significant event focused on democratic dialogue and civic engagement in rural areas. The 'Partnership for Democracy' Democracy Conference will take place on November 27, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Sünna Civic Center. Supported by the German Federal Ministry and the Thuringian State Program, the conference aims to strengthen democratic participation in rural communities.
Three notable initiatives will be in the spotlight: KulturZeit, 'Tausend kleine Dinge', and DemokraTISCH Amt Creuzburg. Each of these projects contributes to the conference's goal of fostering democratic dialogue and engagement. Simon Ortner, a member of the 'Partnership for Democracy Wartburgkreis' team, is instrumental in organizing and coordinating such events and initiatives in the region.
The conference will conclude on an engaging note with a performance of 'I’m No Heroine' by the 3D Theater Wiesbaden. This play is expected to add a creative and thought-provoking element to the event.
