Austrian Women's Business Hub Wins Top EU Gender Equality Award

An Austrian initiative supporting women in business has won a major European award. Frau iDA—Space for Women Entrepreneurs took first place in the Gender Equality category at the #ARIAwards24. The ceremony took place in Brussels on December 4, 2024. Frau iDA was chosen from over 100 submissions, beating 23 other nominated projects from 21 EU countries. The initiative operates a 400-square-meter co-working and business hub in Zwettl, Lower Austria, which opened in May 2022. Originally designed for women entrepreneurs, the space now welcomes professionals of all backgrounds while maintaining a 'women first' approach.

Beyond co-working, Frau iDA offers career mentoring, regular seminars, and monthly networking events. These gatherings take place on the first Wednesday of each month, providing ongoing support for women in business.

The award highlights Frau iDA’s role in promoting gender equality through practical business support. The initiative continues to expand its services, helping women entrepreneurs grow their networks and skills. Its recognition at the #ARIAwards24 underscores its impact across Europe.
