Latvian Startup Awards 2024 opens entries for seven innovation categories

The Latvian Startup Awards has opened applications for its 2024 ceremony. Startups can enter directly or be nominated by others through the event’s official website. This year’s edition will feature seven categories, recognising achievements in innovation, growth, and leadership.

Applications are being accepted until October 24. Both self-nominations and third-party submissions are welcome via an online form. The process is open to all, with no restrictions on who can propose a startup.

A jury of experts from public, private, and non-governmental sectors will review the entries. The shortlisted candidates will then compete for awards in categories such as Breakthrough, Newcomer, and Scaleup, alongside specialised fields like Hardware, Software, and Impact. A separate Founder-Hero category will honour outstanding leadership. Public voting for the Community Choice Award will run from October 11 to 29. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in December, held at the Digital Art House in Riga. Last year’s event drew over 130 applications, with Giraffe360, Aerones, and Cellbox Labs among the standout winners. Further details, including entry guidelines and category descriptions, are available at [startupawards.lv](https://startupawards.lv/).

The awards aim to highlight Latvia’s most promising startups and founders. Successful applicants will gain recognition from industry leaders and the wider business community. The deadline for submissions remains October 24, with the final ceremony set for December in Riga.
