The Dally Redefines London's Members Clubs with Affordable Community Spaces

A new kind of members club is making waves in London’s residential areas. The Dally, launched in 2023, offers a fresh take on private clubs by focusing on affordability and community-driven spaces. Its first location in Islington has already exceeded expectations, with membership numbers soaring by 55% since opening. The Dally opened its doors on Islington’s Upper Street in 2023. Founded with the aim of redefining traditional private members clubs, it targets neighbourhoods rather than exclusive city centres. The 4,000 sq. ft venue spans three floors, featuring a lounge, restaurant, and flexible event space.

Membership fees are set at a more accessible level than many established clubs. This approach has attracted a steady stream of new members, while events like book launches, comedy nights, and live music have drawn in crowds. A third of all visits now come from guests, which has boosted interest in joining. Backed by private investors with experience in hospitality, The Dally has secured £1.0 million in equity funding. These funds will support plans for a second London location, building on the success of its Islington club.

The Dally’s model blends affordability with a lively social scene, setting it apart from older clubs. With strong membership growth and high guest attendance, the business is now preparing to expand. The next step will be finding a second site in the capital.
