Berlin burglars busted after stolen Bluetooth headphones lead police to hotel hideout
A burglary in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Friday evening led police to a hotel in Kaulsdorf, Marzahn-Hellersdorf. The investigation began after thieves stole Bluetooth headphones from an apartment. Officers later traced the stolen items to the suspects’ location.
The break-in happened on Friday night when burglars targeted a flat in Kreuzberg. They took a pair of Bluetooth headphones before leaving the scene. Police tracked the stolen device to a hotel in Kaulsdorf.
Outside the hotel, officers arrested two men, aged 28 and 35. Both were carrying the stolen headphones but had thrown the case into a nearby storm drain. The suspects then returned to their hotel room, where police moved in and detained them. Inside the room, investigators found burglary tools and what appeared to be more stolen goods. The haul included jewellery, designer sunglasses, wristwatches and a camera. Two additional men were later arrested in connection with the case.
Four suspects are now in custody following the burglary and subsequent hotel raid. The recovered items, including the headphones and other valuables, will be examined as part of the ongoing investigation. Police continue to look into possible links to other thefts in the area.
