Berlin police search for injured girl after Lankwitz hit-and-run incident
A girl was injured in a traffic accident on Belßstraße in Lankwitz on July 14, 2024. The incident happened at around 3:00 p.m., and the girl left the scene before police arrived. Authorities are now searching for witnesses to help with their investigation. The 26-year-old driver was travelling along Belßstraße towards Preysingstraße when the girl suddenly crossed the road. She may have suffered serious injuries but walked away towards Marienfelde S-Bahn station. The case has since been handed over to the Traffic Investigation Unit of Police Directorate 4 (South).
Berlin Police are asking anyone who saw the accident to come forward. The specialised traffic crimes unit is particularly keen to find the injured girl. Witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers are being urged to contact the police as soon as possible.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police actively seeking information about the girl and the circumstances of the collision. Anyone with details is asked to assist the Traffic Investigation Unit in reconstructing what happened.
