Bremen-Burglesum hit by wave of political graffiti vandalism over weekend

Unknown vandals targeted several areas in Bremen-Burglesum over the weekend of March 21–23, 2026. Houses, bus stops, electrical boxes, and garage courtyards were spray-painted with graffiti. Police have now launched an appeal for information from the public. The damage was discovered across multiple locations, including Helsingborger Straße, Göteborger Straße, and Trelleborger Straße. Vandals also hit the A27 underpass near Upsalastraße. This marks the first recorded incident of graffiti-related vandalism in these streets over the past five years.

Among the slogans painted were 'ACAB', 'FCK NZS', and 'Nazis auf Maul'—the latter translating to 'Punch Nazis'. Numerical codes 161 and 1312 also appeared in the graffiti. Authorities have not yet linked the vandalism to any specific group or motive. Police are asking residents to come forward if they saw any suspicious behaviour in the area during the weekend. Witnesses with information are urged to contact local law enforcement.

The investigation remains ongoing as officers review evidence from the affected sites. No arrests have been made so far. Anyone with details about the incident is encouraged to assist the police with their enquiries.
