Car flips in Berlin crash after driver fails to yield at intersection
A car flipped onto its roof in Berlin’s Westend neighbourhood after a collision at an intersection. The crash involved two vehicles and left one driver injured. Police are now examining the circumstances of the accident. The incident occurred when a 64-year-old woman driving a Peugeot failed to yield at an intersection. Her car collided with a BMW driven by a 49-year-old woman. The force of the impact caused the Peugeot to roll over and land upside down.
Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene. Officers rescued the 64-year-old from her overturned vehicle and provided immediate first aid. She suffered a head laceration and was taken to hospital for further treatment. The Traffic Offenses Unit of Police Directorate 2 (West) has taken over the investigation. Authorities will determine the exact cause of the crash and whether any charges will follow.
The injured driver remains in hospital for observation. The BMW driver was unharmed in the collision. Police continue to gather evidence as part of their ongoing inquiry.
