Ceotronics AG expands with new Rödermark facility after record revenue growth
Ceotronics AG Expands Its Rödermark Site with New Commercial Property Purchase
Ceotronics AG is expanding its location in Rödermark, acquiring a neighboring commercial property on Rudolf-Diesel-Straße to meet growing space demands at its existing headquarters on Adam-Opel-Straße.
The expansion comes in response to a rising headcount and a sharp increase in revenue for the 2024/25 fiscal year, with the company reporting growth of over 88%. The acquisition is intended to create the spatial conditions needed for further expansion, as Ceotronics aims to achieve medium-term revenue of €65 million.
New Build with Warehouses and Offices
The newly purchased property covers approximately 5,000 square meters and includes two storage halls totaling around 1,144 square meters, along with two office buildings with a combined floor area of roughly 887 square meters. According to the company, the complex is a new construction completed in 2024.
Plans call for the Operations division to be primarily housed in the new facility. Meanwhile, the existing buildings on Adam-Opel-Straße will be repurposed to free up space for product development, sales, product management, and technical support. CEO Thomas H. Günther commented: "Expanding our capacity is essential for our 'Vision65' strategy. Acquiring this property not only allows us to consolidate the entire Operations division but also enables us to restructure our existing facilities on Adam-Opel-Straße. In these buildings, we will create more room for developing innovative products, sales, product management, and technical support. This is an investment in the company's future."
Production Set for Further Growth
The company plans to divide the larger of the two halls into multiple sections corresponding to different assembly stages. The goods receiving area will also be expanded with a second level for additional storage. A vertical carousel system is planned to streamline order picking, and the entire assembly and testing area will be equipped with an ESD-compliant floor.
Rolf Dieter Glaesel, Head of Operations, sees this as a foundation for continued growth: "Our already modern and high-performance assembly, testing, and programming systems, along with Ceotronics' processes, will now benefit from an optimally tailored environment. The improved conditions will not only make existing processes more efficient, stable, and higher in quality but also lay the groundwork for the continuous advancement of our entire value chain."
The northern office building will house workstations for procurement, logistics, and quality management, along with a staff lounge and kitchen on the ground floor and a meeting room on the upper level. The second office building will remain leased until at least March 2029.
Move-In Planned for October
Ceotronics plans to gradually occupy the new building starting in October, where it will further expand production of its modular CT-ComLink products. Chief Technology Officer Björn Schölling stated: "We intend to move into the new facility in October and progressively ramp up even more efficient production of our modular CT-ComLink products."
The company also aims to improve working conditions at the new site, which includes 30 parking spaces and is located just meters from its current headquarters.
Sustainable Development of the Building
Ceotronics has announced plans to develop the property into a green building, featuring up to 60 kilowatt-peak photovoltaic capacity, energy-efficient heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, green roofs, and charging infrastructure for company vehicles. Some of the required electricity will be sourced from its own solar installation.
