Teen Brutally Beaten by Two Groups of Attackers in Berlin's Lichterfelde
Case No. 0472: Man Beaten and Kicked by Unknown Assailants in Lichterfelde
A 19-year-old man was attacked and beaten by a group of unknown assailants in Berlin's Lichterfelde district late last night. According to preliminary investigations, the victim was on Scheelestraße around 12:30 AM when three to four men approached him. Witnesses report that one of the attackers was armed with a knife, while another carried a wooden plank. Fearing for his safety, the 19-year-old fled toward a nearby playground, but was struck with the plank as he ran.
Upon reaching the playground, he encountered another group of three to four men. One of them allegedly sprayed pepper spray in his face before the group began punching and kicking him. The initial attackers then joined in, and together, the assailants continued to beat and kick the victim. The attack only stopped when a witness intervened, drawing attention to the scene. The perpetrators fled in an unknown direction and remain unidentified.
The victim sustained injuries to his head and torso. Emergency services were called to the scene and transported him to a hospital for outpatient treatment.
The case is being investigated as suspected grievous bodily harm by the specialized unit of Police Directorate 4 (South).
