Chaos in Lahrbach: Fire, vandalism, and theft strike within 48 hours

Barn Destroyed in Fire
Tann. On Friday (February 20), at around 2:40 a.m., emergency services were alerted to a barn fire on Mühlenstraße in the Lahrbach district. By the time police arrived, the barn was already fully engulfed in flames.
Thanks to the swift and courageous response of firefighters, the flames were prevented from spreading to an adjacent vacant house on the property. However, the house still sustained damage. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains unclear and is currently under investigation by police. Preliminary estimates place the property damage at approximately €200,000.
Campaign Posters Vandalized – Arrests Made
Fulda. On Thursday (February 19), at around 8:20 p.m., a vigilant citizen reported several individuals damaging election posters on Bahnhofstraße. A patrol from Fulda police station shortly afterward apprehended two suspects—a 17- and an 18-year-old—in Steinweg. Both now face criminal charges and were released from custody following police procedures.
Theft from Vehicle
Petersberg. On Thursday (February 19), between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., unknown perpetrators stole a low three-figure sum of cash from a white Ford Transit parked on a lot on Propsteihof Street. Graffiti Vandalism in Parking Garage
Hünfeld. On Tuesday, at around 7:40 a.m., unknown individuals spray-painted two interior walls of a parking garage on Lindenstraße, causing approximately €1,500 in damage. Use of Unconstitutional Symbols
Fulda. On Wednesday (February 18), at around 8:30 a.m., authorities discovered that unknown individuals had painted a swastika in blue on the ground beneath an archway in Museumshof.
