Cumberland County’s tight commissioner race pits Democrats against Republicans in fierce battle
In a tight race for two Cumberland County Commissioner seats, a Democrat and a Republican are neck and neck, with the result too close to call. The contest has seen a mix of familiar faces and new contenders vying for the positions.
Douglas Albrecht, a former Vineland councilman, and Victoria Lods, who was elected in 2022, are currently leading for the Republican Party. On the Democratic side, John Capizola and Yolanda Garcia Balicki are hot on their heels. Capizola and Garcia Balicki are aligned with the faction led by county Democratic Chair Kevin McCann.
