Now Also on Silberhöhe: The Left Halle Expands Free Consultation Services Across the City
Die Linke Halle expands free consultations for housing and welfare support
The Halle (Saale) branch of Die Linke (The Left) is expanding its free consultation services across the city. In addition to existing offerings at Linker Laden (4 Leitergasse, city center) and through state parliament member Hendrik Lange at his constituency office (14 Am Gastronom, Halle-Neustadt), the "Die Linke hilft" (The Left Helps) initiative is now regularly available on-site in Silberhöhe.
The new regular consultation service in Silberhöhe is located at 11 Wittenberger Straße. Upcoming sessions are scheduled for Thursday, April 30, and Thursday, May 28, each from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. "Die Linke hilft" is open to all residents with questions or concerns about housing and rent (e.g., utility bill disputes, rent increases), housing benefits, basic welfare (formerly Bürgergeld), elder care, migration, and other social issues.
"Especially in these times, many people—often through no fault of their own—find themselves in difficult situations. We stand ready to help with advice and action: through our Die Linke hilft initiative and in cooperation with associations, specialist counseling centers, and lawyers. The Left fights for fundamental political change while also being a party that takes care of people's everyday needs—concrete, on the ground, and in the community," explains Jannik Balint, co-chair of Die Linke Halle (Saale).
The consultation service at Linker Laden (4 Leitergasse, city center) takes place every Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The service at state parliament member Hendrik Lange's constituency office (14 Am Gastronom, Halle-Neustadt) is held every Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
No appointments are required, though they are welcome and can be helpful. The Die Linke hilft working group can be reached by email or via messenger (Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram) at +49 176 66995773.
