Drunk German woman arrested after violent outburst at Aschaffenburg train station
A 29-year-old German woman was detained by federal police at Aschaffenburg Central Station on Tuesday evening after causing a major disturbance. Officers were called to the scene at 9:50 p.m. on March 24, where they encountered a heavily intoxicated individual who became violent when confronted. The woman refused to cooperate with police from the start. She lashed out aggressively, attempting to knock away a female officer's hand and resisting restraint with force. A breathalyser test later confirmed her blood alcohol level at around 1.8 per mille.
A search of her belongings uncovered a one-handed folding knife hidden in her waist pack. Due to her violent behaviour and the weapon, she was taken into custody overnight to sober up. Authorities released her the following day. Federal police have since opened a criminal investigation for resisting law enforcement and insulting officials. Separate administrative proceedings under the Weapons Act have also been launched in connection with the knife.
The incident has led to formal charges and further legal steps. The woman now faces potential penalties for both her violent resistance and the illegal possession of a weapon. No additional public reactions or station security changes have been reported in Aschaffenburg.
