Easter Market in Empfertshausen Draws Nearly 1,000 Craft-Loving Visitors
The Easter Market in Empfertshausen drew up to 1,000 visitors on Sunday. Held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event showcased handmade crafts, live demonstrations, and local treats. Over 20 vendors from Hesse, Bavaria, and Thuringia took part in the bustling market. Guests explored stalls filled with fine wood and metal art, ceramic works, and other handcrafted items. Live demonstrations of carving, woodturning, and pottery added to the lively atmosphere.
The vocational school for wood sculptors opened its doors during the market. Prospective students learned about the curriculum, workshop practices, and future career paths. Meanwhile, members of the Rhön Woodcarvers' Association served coffee alongside homemade cakes. Caterer Tino Schmidt provided hearty delicacies and freshly prepared dishes. The school band *Kellerkrach* also performed live, entertaining the crowd throughout the day.
