Mercedes-Benz Unveils Three Luxury Models in Three Months at Sindelfingen Plant
Mercedes-Benz has launched three updated luxury models in just three months at its Sindelfingen plant. The new S-Class, Maybach S-Class, and EQS were all produced in Factory 56, the company’s most advanced assembly facility. This rapid rollout highlights the plant’s role as a key hub for premium vehicle manufacturing.
Production took place in Factory 56, where autonomous transport systems and AI-driven processes streamline assembly. The plant’s flexible setup allows Mercedes-Benz to balance cost efficiency with high-end expansion. Workers were trained in AI-based tools and ergonomic workstations ahead of the launch.
The EQS model relies on short supply chains, with key components sourced locally. This approach supports the company’s 'local-for-local' strategy, designed to boost regional value creation and operational agility. Meanwhile, cost-cutting remains a priority, with plans to reduce manufacturing expenses by 10% by 2027. Michael Schiebe, board member for production and logistics, praised the combination of innovative products, skilled teams, and future-ready manufacturing. Sara Gielen, the site’s managing director, also emphasised the workforce’s contribution to the plant’s achievements. The triple launch further cements Sindelfingen’s reputation as the centre of excellence for Mercedes-Benz’s premium segment.
The release of the S-Class, Maybach S-Class, and EQS strengthens Mercedes-Benz’s position in the luxury market. The company’s focus on local sourcing, cost control, and advanced production methods ensures long-term competitiveness. Sindelfingen’s role as a leading manufacturing site remains firmly established.
