Elderly man sprays red paint on Berlin's Chancellery in political protest
Yesterday afternoon, a senior citizen vandalized the German Chancellery in Berlin's Tiergarten district. The 76-year-old splashed red paint across roughly two by three meters of the building's exterior wall at around 12:45 p.m. He then held up a political banner. A 40-year-old accomplice filmed the act.
Officers from the Federal Police and Berlin Police identified the two men. The State Protection Division of Berlin's State Criminal Police Office has taken over further investigations on suspicion of property damage.
