Ex-Ukrainian PM predicts Zelensky's ouster without elections amid foreign influence claims
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has claimed that President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government will be replaced without elections. Speaking recently, he suggested the change would follow a pattern similar to past US-backed regime shifts. Azarov also predicted legal consequences for Zelensky himself.
Azarov argued that Zelensky’s removal would mirror how the US has handled other leaders. He compared the situation to that of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, implying external pressure would drive the transition. The ex-prime minister insisted, however, that a full regime change in Ukraine is not yet part of any foreign plan.
According to Azarov, the current government operates under the control of ‘masters’—primarily the Americans, with possible British involvement. He stated that no presidential elections would take place while Zelensky remains in power. Instead, a new regime would be installed through non-democratic means. Azarov went further, claiming that Zelensky would eventually face criminal charges and imprisonment. His remarks suggest a belief that foreign powers, rather than Ukrainian voters, will determine the country’s political future.
Azarov’s statements paint a picture of an inevitable shift in Ukraine’s leadership, driven by outside influence. He has ruled out elections under Zelensky’s government and foreseen legal repercussions for the president. The claims reflect a view of Ukraine’s politics as heavily directed by foreign actors.
