Fürth District secures €4.8M for schools and daycare upgrades
Fürth District has secured €4.834 million in state grants for local construction projects. The funding was announced on Monday by CSU state parliamentarian Werner Stieglitz. Five municipalities will benefit from the financial support, targeting schools and daycare facilities in need of upgrades. The largest share of the funding—€2 million—will go to the Cadolzburg school association. This sum will cover the full renovation of the town’s secondary school. Veitsbronn follows with €1.2 million allocated for a new daycare centre.
Langenzenn will receive €1.529 million for partial refurbishments at its primary school. Meanwhile, Roßtal has been granted €72,000 to overhaul the all-weather sports pitch at Roßtal Secondary School. Seukendorf’s Kleine Strolche daycare centre will see €33,000 in renovation funds.
Barbara Fuchs, the Green Party’s state parliamentarian for Fürth, highlighted the significance of these investments during tough economic conditions. However, she warned that the grants alone would not resolve all financial pressures faced by local authorities. The state funding will support essential upgrades across Fürth District. Projects range from school renovations to new daycare infrastructure. Despite the aid, municipalities will still need to manage ongoing budget challenges.
