Fürth's Youth Forum 2023: Students to Debate with Local Leaders on May 21
Fürth will host its ninth Youth Forum on May 21, 2023, at the Stadthalle. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and invites students from eighth grade and above to take part in discussions with local leaders. Organised by Echt Fürth! and the city’s Office for Youth Participation, the forum offers a structured space for young people to share concerns and propose ideas. Attendees will engage directly with representatives from local government and administration.
Several newly elected city council members are also expected to join the event. The focus lies on dialogue, participation, and giving students insight into political processes. Schools can register their students to attend through the Youth Forum’s official website. City officials highlight the importance of youth involvement in politics. They argue that early engagement strengthens democratic values and encourages interest in local issues.
The forum aims to bridge the gap between young residents and local decision-makers. By providing a platform for open discussion, the event seeks to ensure student voices are heard. Registration remains open for secondary schools interested in participating.
