Germany Unveils New Military Strategy
The German government on Wednesday presented a new military strategy that maintains the same target size for active-duty troops as set for 2025, despite calls from senior military commanders for a significant expansion of the armed forces.
Defense Minister Boris Pistorius told reporters in Berlin that the strategy envisions a total military strength of 460,000 personnel, including 200,000 reservists and 260,000 active-duty service members.
