Halle (Saale) hosts expert talks on civil defence and crisis readiness
The Halle (Saale) branch of the German Society for Security Policy (GSP) invites the public to a lecture evening titled "Civil Defense—What Is It? Resilience, Crisis Preparedness, and Disaster Management" on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Ulrichskirche concert hall, Christian-Wolff-Straße 2. Mayor Geier will welcome attendees on behalf of the Lord Mayor.
This joint event, organized by the GSP's Halle (Saale) section and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), will feature two speakers: Colonel Thorsten Alme, commander of the Sachsen-Anhalt State Command, and Albrecht Broemme, chairman of the THW Foundation and honorary president of the THW, a seasoned crisis manager.
