Hit-and-run driver leaves injured boy, 9, at Villingen crossing

A driver fled the scene of an accident on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. on Vöhrenbacher Straße. At the intersection with Dattenbergstraße, a nine-year-old boy was crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing near a gas station when a woman driving a white compact car failed to see him and clipped him, causing him to fall. Instead of stopping, the elderly driver simply drove away. A motorist following behind attended to the boy, who sustained minor injuries.
Villingen police are searching for the hit-and-run driver and are asking anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact them at +49 7721 6010.
