Hungarian man jailed after fare evasion exposes unpaid driving fine

On March 26, 2026, a Hungarian national was arrested by federal police after traveling from Konstanz to Offenburg without a valid ticket. When officers were called to verify his identity at Offenburg station, they discovered an outstanding arrest warrant for driving without a license.
