Knifepoint robbery in Dortmund leaves victim without phone or wallet
A 40-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint in Dortmund late on Tuesday night. The attack took place around 10:30 p.m. on Rittershausstraße, with two suspects forcing the victim to surrender his phone and wallet. Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward with any information. The victim, a local resident, was approached by two men who threatened him with a knife. He complied with their demands and handed over his belongings. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Both suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading into nearby Westpark. Authorities have described them as males aged between 18 and 25, each around 175 cm tall.
The first suspect was wearing jeans, a polo shirt, and a Gucci cap. He had a full black beard. The second suspect had curly short black hair, three-day stubble, and was dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. Police are urging anyone who may have seen the suspects or witnessed the robbery to contact them immediately. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify those responsible. The victim’s stolen items have not yet been recovered.
