IFAT Munich 2026 to Showcase Global Environmental Tech on Unprecedented Scale

IFAT Munich 2026 is set to become one of the largest environmental technology trade fairs in the world. The event will draw more than 142,000 visitors from around 170 countries. Organisers have also confirmed a massive exhibition space covering 300,000 square metres—roughly the size of 42 football pitches. The fair will host over 3,300 exhibitors, with 55% travelling from outside Germany. Attendees can expect live outdoor demonstrations of more than 110 machines and vehicles, including electric and hydrogen-powered models. These displays aim to highlight the latest advancements in sustainable technology.

Alongside the exhibitions, the event will feature over 400 discussions and presentations. These sessions will tackle urgent global challenges, from waste management to clean water solutions. The scale of the event reflects its growing importance in shaping environmental policies and innovations worldwide.

IFAT Munich 2026 will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators under one roof. The combination of large-scale demonstrations, international exhibitors, and expert-led events positions the fair as a key platform for environmental progress. Final preparations are now underway for the event’s opening in two years.
