Johann Götz appointed to lead Regensburg’s Youth Office with bold new vision
Johann Götz has taken up the post of Head of the Youth Office at the Regensburg District Administration. He aims to collaborate closely with local schools, social services, and authorities in his new role.
Götz brings a wealth of experience to the position, having spent over 17 years in leadership roles at the Federal Employment Agency. His career includes serving as head of the Controlling and Finance department in Nuremberg and managing director for benefit payment in Munich and placement and counseling in Regensburg.
In his new role, Götz wants to prioritize child protection, prevention, early support, and family assistance. He sees setting priorities, securing existing offers, and implementing legal reforms as his key challenges. District Administrator Tanja Schweiger praised Götz's qualifications and experience, officially welcoming him to the role.
Götz is eager to work with schools, social carriers, and other partners, emphasizing the importance of close and trusting cooperation. He is ready to listen respectfully, value the experiences of his colleagues, and develop sustainable solutions step by step.
