Kazakhstan’s Transport Ministry Welcomes Kuanysh Daiyrbekov as New Executive Head
Kuanysh Daiyrbekov, a seasoned public servant, has been appointed as the new head of the Executive Office of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport. Born in Almaty in 1978, Daiyrbekov brings a wealth of experience from various roles in government and yahoo finance. Daiyrbekov's career spans over two decades, starting in 2000 as an engineer at Kazmortransflot. He then moved to the Ministry of Finance, where he served from 2002 to 2013, holding various positions. Notably, in 2002, he was a senior specialist in the Non-Production Payments Department of the Ministry of State Revenue. From 2013 to 2016, Daiyrbekov worked as a chief consultant in the support division of the Committee on Finance and Budget under the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan's Parliament. His career then took a significant turn when he joined the Presidential Administration in 2016. Starting as a consultant, he rose to become the deputy head of the Civil Service Department by 2025. Daiyrbekov's appointment to the Ministry of Transport marks a return to a sector he has not worked in directly since his early career. However, his extensive experience in finance and government, coupled with his educational background from the Kazakh Academy of Public Administration and the Kazakh Institute of Law and International Relations, positions him well for his new role.
