Ceremony Held at the Hall of Military Glory
Krasnodar's youth receive passports in historic Hall of Military Glory
Krasnodar's mayor, Vera Fyodorovna Galushko, along with the chair of the City Duma, formally presented passports to 20 young residents in a special ceremony at the Hall of Military Glory.
"I saw how happy they were to receive this official document and how proud their parents were," Galushko said. "We chose the Hall of Military Glory for this ceremony for a reason—this is where we honor the memory and names of our heroes. I wish for our young Russians to speak of their country's history with nothing but pride and respect."
Earlier, we reported that the Krasnodar Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society (RGO) marked its 80th anniversary. The organization's headquarters opened on the grounds of this military site—a first for Russia, making Krasnodar a pioneer in this practice.
